Why did BTF start?

The Brighter Together Foundation was created by LimeLife by Alcone to continue the commitment of fostering female-focused leadership, personal and financial well-being, and strengthen local community impact.

Why do we celebrate the BTF birthday in November?

November is the start of the big holiday shopping season and LimeLife dedicates a portion of every sale to BTF. It’s a generous and easy opportunity to help fund BTF!

What is BTF’s mission?

How is a Beauty Guide contributing to BTF?

What is Women Empowered?

Women Empowered (WE) is a program through our charitable partner, Global Communities.

Where are WE groups established that BTF supports?

BTF has primarily supported groups in Burundi, Guatemala, Nicaragua and Tanzania. More recently the funding and work done in these countries has allowed WE groups to expand to other countries such as Botswana, Ethiopia, Honduras, and Madagascar.

What does Women Empowered do?

WE methodology focuses on providing women with skills to establish businesses and savings groups. These trainings build from the foundation of the WE methodology to provide groups and their members with basic business competencies and practical life skills that help them achieve greater social and economic empowerment.

Why are WE Groups so important?

In many parts of the world, people are facing extreme poverty. This means a lack of adequate access to clean water, shelter and food. Additionally, women and girls are the most vulnerable to of violence, exploitation and have the most difficult time coming out of extreme poverty. Yet it is widely believed that women are the key to eradicating the cycle of poverty and oppression. This is why focusing on women gaining business skills to fight poverty is so important.
